- This is presentation of project, called MONITORING OF WATER SUPPLY in the city of Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
- The objective of the project is to integrate all information sources, engeneering calculations and cash flow from the Water and Sewerage Department.
- The project is in development stage and is implemented in the new department of Banksoft - GIS, Automated Mapping and Facilities Management.

The project specification includes:
- All water supply and sewage elements in special cadastral and topographic maps will be digitized, positioned over cadastral digital models and edited for duplicate nodes
- Database model is created with classes for each object and relationship classes with behaviour of different elements
- Network topology is built for hydraulic calculations
- End elements as water-meters are bound to payment system to make analyzes of water consumption.

The project is Web based with ArcMap as base GIS editor and SVG generation extension. DBMS is Microsoft SQL server 2000. Water supply network and sewarage is combined with electric supply system to serve reconstruction of plumbing systems.
3D models are built where possible to get data interactively from maps.

The illustration on the right is a snapshot from water supply network, sewerage system and electric supply network and trafo- stations, build over precise cadastral map. Networks are layered and symbology is appropriate to pipe types and parameters (such as diameter, material etc.). This is snapshot only, interactive map is demonstrated at Products>GIS/AM/FM>GIS Online

The illustration on the right is a snapshot from thematic map, result of water consumption analyzis for 2002 in the South Region of city of Plovdiv, Bulgaria (small map above). The map shows sum of water consumption for water-meters, grouped by buildings.
